These rescues are near and dear to my heart. Without funding, these rescues wouldn't be able to save lives. Most rescues work out of their own pockets and fundraisers. If you have a few extra dollars please think about donating to one of these rescues or one that is close to your own heart.

Wee Companions Small Animal Adoption, Inc.

San Diego's only small animal rescue. Our specialty is small furry exotics including, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, hamsters, mice and rabbits. Wee Companions has been rescuing small animals since 1998. In 2010, we rescued our 5,000th animal. This is quite a feat when you realize that we are a volunteer organization that is run out of individual homes. Our funding comes from the generosity of supporters like you, we receive no government monies.

I adopted my 3 older ladies: Daisy, Violet and Morgan from EARPS and it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and even drove the girls all the way to Michigan for me. EARPS recently took in several dozen guinea pigs from a bad situation and they need all of the help they can get.

I adopted Julie from MRR to be a companion for elderly Mr. Bugs. MRR has over 160 rabbits needing homes. Everyone was so kind and helped me to pick a perfect companion for bugs. Rabbits are the 3rd most surrendered animal after dogs and cats. Can you help?

The Critter Corral

The Critter Corral was founded in 1999 to find homeless and unwanted Guinea Pigs new, loving homes. We are run out of private homes and appointments are made for adoptions and visits. To date The Critter Corral has taken in 2200 homeless guinea pigs!

Piggie Poo Small Animal Rescue

Although I have never adopted from Piggie Poo rescue they are still close to my heart. They have gone above and beyond to rescue guinea pigs from death. They worked effortlessly to stop a back yard breeder and to take in all of the sick and pregnant piggies and give them a second chance at life. They also have an online store and a lot of great information on their website.
